A follow up idea: Let us long press on any cover images that opens the small pop-up window as well, like not only on the show’s page but also in Discover/Search etc.

im planning a change where you can directly start checking episodes in a show’s page (it’ll auto mark that you’re watching the show). Would that help?

Good idea! But give us an option in the settings to choose our preferred “Mark as …”
But I honestly think an “Edit✏️” button on the show’s page that opens a small pop-up window with all the options (Watchlist/Finished/Paused/Stopped) would be more practical.
